Review by Ray Tempesta
Being a 40-something mum of two, the topics covered by Esther Manito are much of what you'd expect, with family life at the fore, but delivered with her trademark hilarious mildly frazzled/deranged verve.
In amongst discussing her bewilderment at raising children in a generation so different from her own, and her hatred of hen dos, there's some beautifully crafted stories of her odd encounters with a drug(s) dealer and her sex education lessons - I definitely watched the same video as her in school!
Even in the more well-trodden ground of tropes about airport baggage and failing to keep up with PTA mums, in the hands of a comedian at the top of her endearingly unhinged game, Manito manages to keep us hooked on her every word. It's a fantastic hour spent in her magnetic company.
Esther Manito continues her tour across the UK until Feb 2026.
